My client a leading manufacturing company based in North Dublin are looking to hire a Cost Accountant to join their established finance team on a permanent basis Duties: Manage and analyse cost accounting data to ensure accurate reporting of production costs. Prepare cost variance analysis reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed cost information. Prepare regular financial reports, including product profitability and cost efficiency analyses. Assist in month end and yearend closing, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Provide profit and loss analysis to senior management to support decision making. Collaborate with cross functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to align costing strategies. Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, offering financial insights and support. Build strong relationships with external auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Identify inefficiencies in costing processes and recommend improvements. Lead initiatives for lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and waste minimization. Implement financial automation tools and systems to enhance data accuracy and reduce manual workloads. Maintain and improve cost accounting modules and ensure data integrity. Lead reconciliations and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards Use advanced Excel and Power BI tools to streamline reporting and analysis processes. Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and external regulations Prepare necessary documentation for external audits and respond to auditor queries related to cost accounting. Requirements: Professional accounting qualification Experience in cost accounting, ideally in a manufacturing environment. SAP or other Mainline ERP Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.
