Job Description

As a Construction Cost Manager at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced teams to deliver complex projects in the French construction sector using the latest methodologies.

You will gain vast construction industry experience, expand your skillset, and develop your perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage client budgets and expenditure, with support from internal teams and clients.
  • Develop estimates and cost plans for key client developments, covering all construction project costs.
  • Support project management and decision-making through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
  • Participate in the tender/bid process, from initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee project spend, creating valuations and cost reports, and communicate variations to the team.
  • Support the settlement of construction disputes and loss and expense claims with transparency.
  • Resolve commercial, change orders, and contract issues quickly and fairly.
  • Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in pre- and/or post-contract cost management on varied projects.
  • Degree in a cost management or construction discipline, or strong experience.
  • Knowledge or previous work experience relating to MEP trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
  • Chartered or seeking chartership.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in both English and French languages.
  • Happy to travel for short periods to meet with clients, partners, and team.
