Job Overview: We’ll trust you to: Provide day to day support for Lord Abbett’s international business, providing advice and guidance on a range of matters, including legal, compliance, governance, regulation and operational. Providing practical assistance to the Firm, whilst maintaining appropriate regulatory control in line with the requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland (“CBI”). Proactively keeping up to date with regulatory developments and updating internal policies and procedures from time to time. To monitor and, on a regular basis, to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures, policies and procedures in place. To advise and assist the relevant persons responsible for carrying out services and activities to comply with obligations under the UCITS Regulations and AIFM Regulations. Taking proactive ownership of compliance tasks and processes, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes. Reporting to the relevant board of directors on at least a quarterly basis as well as liaising with service providers on matters relating to the funds. Preparing and submitting regulatory reports via the CBI’s Portal, and other regulatory returns as required. Liaising with the CBI as and when required. Draft, review and maintain fund prospectuses, supplements and material contracts for Lord Abbett’s UCITS and AIF products. Work closely with Lord Abbett’s external legal counsel in relation to the above, where appropriate, to include managing timely delivery of projects and advice. Counsel client service and sales teams regarding cross-border sales issues and distribution agreements. You’ll need to have: 8+ years of experience gained in the asset management practice of a reputable law firm and/or in-house. Solid understanding of legal and regulatory rules applicable to the management, operation and distribution of fund products and provision of portfolio management solutions. Subject matter expertise in UCITS and AIFMD. Experience dealing with regulators and managing the process around regulatory applications. Familiarity with fund structures and applicable regulatory requirements across the spectrum of UCITS and AIF products and fund types. Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is EUR170,000 - EUR190,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
