The ideal candidate would be an experienced, motivated content/integrity or regulatory compliance lawyer, with comprehensive knowledge of the evolving global content regulatory landscape, impacting user-generated content as well as advertising and a deep understanding of operational processes at scale. Alternatively, experience gained in another heavily regulated area will be considered. You will work closely with other legal teams and cross-functionally (including e.g. Engineering, Operations, Policy), as well as liaise externally and should be able to use initiative in identifying solutions and connecting the dots in our large and complex organisation. The role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in a fast-paced, energetic environment. This is a full time role and based in office in London, Dublin, Berlin, or Brussels. Counsel, EMEA Content and Integrity Compliance Legal Responsibilities: Advise and support Meta’s content, integrity and safety product and regulatory teams in preparing for and responding to content, safety and integrity regulation in EMEA. Counsel cross-functional teams on implementation options, legal risk and efficient processes, especially on current and upcoming reporting/complaints channels, across Meta’s family of products. Support and help efficiently resolve escalations involving content, including legal takedown requests and policy and press inquiries. Provide legal advice on intermediary liability. Build strong relationships and interface closely with a diverse set of Legal, Engineering, Operations, Data, Policy and subject matter experts. Supervise and direct outside counsel on select requests. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years PQE qualified lawyer. In-house or law firm experience advising a heavily regulated industry, translating from regulatory requirements to cross-functional stakeholders. Comprehensive understanding and experience of content regulation, ideally the DSA or the UK OSA (but minimum one of these) and concept of intermediary liability under the E-Commerce Directive. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines. Fluent English. Preferred Qualifications: Experience assessing and advising upon diverse set of regulation governing content issues (including DSA and OSA), across a range of topics. EU or UK qualified lawyer. Experience advising on measures at scale and operational efficiency, e.g. including process charts/playbooks or similar concepts.
