Counter Assistant Excel Recruitment is seeking a food-passionate Counter assistant for our client, a well-known grocery retailer in Cork. This role is an excellent opportunity for aspiring Deli, catering, or kitchen assistants who are looking to explore the creative side of counter service. This role will allow the ideal candidate to expand on their fresh food knowledge and customer service skills. The ideal candidate for this role is an individual with fresh food experience and excellent customer service skills. They must have a good attitude towards work and enjoy working in a team environment. Salary: ranging from €26k to €32k DOE Responsibilities of a Counter Assistant Food preparation and replenishment of food displays Ensuring all HACCP and food safety standards are met, and that all documentation is up to date Dealing with customer queries to the highest possible standards Bringing forth new ideas to increase sales and standards within the department Up-selling with customers and cross-selling Requirements of a Counter assistant Previous deli/ fresh food/catering assistant experience desirable Genuine passion for customer service Familiarity with health and safety and HACCP Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Driving is advantageous If you are interested in this Counter Assistant role or any other roles on the Excel recruitment website please apply via website or contact me, Adam to discuss potential job opportunities.
