Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our new DP World Air & Ocean, Freight Forwarding Division for an experienced Credit Controller. This role will report into the Lead Credit Controller EMEA - with the aim of strengthening our Finance & Controlling team.

Our successful candidate will be a knowledgeable Credit controller with 'large scale business' and high volume customer experience.

Location: Dublin

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

  • Credit control for some of the top customers in EMEA
  • Liaising with customers ensuring payments received on a timely basis
  • Ensuring Sales invoices are being raised on a timely basis
  • Liaising with local Operations & our shared service centre to solve customer queries
  • Obtaining and reviewing remits for allocations of customer receipts
  • Setting up new customers and assessing credit terms
  • Producing weekly customer aging reports and presenting to management
  • Producing monthly credit control reports to be used in the Management Business Reviews
  • Complete bank reconciliations and postings
  • Complete IC reconciliations and settlements

What you will bring

EXPERIENCE

  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an operationally focussed Credit control role
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record in building relationships as you will be liaising with both internal and external personnel at all levels

Definite asset:

  • Experience of SAP & Oracle are desirable (not essential)
  • Experience of working within Freight Forwarding is an advantage
