Job Title: CT Clinical Specialist Radiographer Location: Kilkenny Job type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week. About Our Client: Our client is well established hospital, and highly respected for providing exceptional patient care and a supportive, collaborative work environment. Purpose of the Post: As the CT Clinical Specialist Radiographer, you will be responsible for leading the CT imaging services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Your expertise in CT technology and clinical practice will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of service. Responsibilities will include: Undertake as team leader, primary responsibility on a day- to- day basis for the CT Service and the effective utilisation of all resources allocated. Be accountable for the quality of the service provided, including the customer service and technical aspects. Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, protocols and guidelines to ensure optimum utilisation of resources and systematic audit of such usage. Contribute to the preparation of plans for service monitor and report on their implementation. Ensure that the Radiography Service Manager is provided with accurate records of equipment service, maintenance, malfunction, downtime and performance as required and co-ordinate preventative maintenance schedules in accordance with clinical demand. Support the Radiography Service Manager in the implementation of initiatives aimed at ongoing service development and improvement. Assist in the development and implementation of risk management and health and safety strategies in association with appropriate personnel. Develop and maintain a training function as may be required in relation to qualified staff and/or trainees and students. Supervise and assess all training as required. Liaise with the Radiography Service Manager on the rotation of staff through the Department to ensure an adequate number of trained staff are available. What you'll need to succeed: Advanced knowledge of CT technology and imaging techniques. Strong clinical and technical skills in performing and interpreting CT scans. Proven experience leading, guiding and supervising Radiographic staff in the CT department and to successfully manage service delivery on a day to day basis. Proficient in operating CT imaging equipment and software. Demonstrate ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Eligibility Criteria: Have the Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic) or have a Bachelor of Science or its equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography. CORU registration IV Cannualtion Have a minimum of 6 years post graduate experience in Radiography. Have a postgraduate qualification in CT (desirable) 3 years post qualification experience in CT in a busy acute hospital Demonstrate experience of working with a team of Radiographers. Have proven ability to work under pressure. Excellent Communications skills and the ability to support and contribute to the team. Enthusiastic attitude.
