Job Description
Customer Solution Engineer required to develop commercial and technical skills across a broad segment and customer base, supporting a team of Senior Engineers and building pre-engineered solutions for local customers.
Job Requirements:
- Face-to-face and/or remote sales to new or existing customers.
- Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
- Supporting the initial design and creation of specifications for the solution using engineering tools and software.
- Dealing with specialist supply chain to design fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Harmonisation and Homologation of Solutions making them market-ready.
- Producing and maintaining a mapping of customers across markets and products.
- Segmenting customers based on market characteristics.
- Understanding and articulating regional and country regulatory environments.
- Interfacing with Grid-e Xpand team and Front End Sales to ensure harmonized account plans.
Background and Experience:
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- Proven experience in product marketing and sales, preferably with a background in the product portfolio.
- Strong team player with cross-cultural, legal, and contractual experience.
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with customers' specifications and requirements for the energy segment.
- Successful track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the marketplace in which Hitachi Energy operates.
- Customer-oriented with advanced communication skills.
