Job Description

Customer Solution Engineer role involves supporting senior engineers and developing commercial and technical skills across a broad customer base.

Hitachi Energy is a leading provider of energy solutions, and this role is a key part of their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Face-to-face and/or remote sales to new or existing customers.
  • Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
  • Supporting the initial design and creation of specifications for the solution using engineering tools and software.
  • Dealing with specialist supply chain to design solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Harmonising and homologating solutions to ensure they meet market requirements.
  • Mapping customer presence in different markets and segments.
  • Understanding and articulating regional and country regulatory environments.
  • Coordinating with Grid-eXpand team and Front End Sales to ensure harmonized account plans.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical a plus).
  • Proven experience in product marketing and sales, preferably with a background in the product portfolio.
  • Strong team player with cross-cultural, legal, and contractual experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Successful track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the marketplace.
  • Customer-oriented with advanced communication skills.
