Job Description

What is the opportunity? The successful applicant will have an opportunity to work in a fast paced team that fosters learning, has access to industry leading intelligence and who actively participate in multiple cyber threat intelligence (CTI) communities. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to support the team in fostering closer relationships with the Group's Security Operations centre and deriving and disseminating intelligence to our cyber threat intelligence community members. In this Role, you will Actively participate in cyber threat communities Bank Of Ireland Group is a member of, including timely threat intelligence sharing with members and participation in relevant working groups and temporary secondments Triage and analysis of threat information provided by cyber threat intelligence partners / communities to identify cyber threats relevant to the Group and to communicate these to appropriate internal customers in an actionable and timely manner, including supporting the Security Incident Response team during incidents Establish and foster effective relationships within Group Information Security, the wider Group and the cyber threat communities the Group is a member of In conjunction with the wider cyber intelligence team, maintain the Group's strategic and operational threat intelligence products including the Group's Cyber Threat Profile and a profile of relevant threat actors and their associated tactics, techniques and procedures in a Group context to enable proactive defence What will make you stand out? A CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst, or equivalent with a validated 3-year ability as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst or Lead with proven enterprise experience in tactical and operational and strategic intelligence in a regulated environment is required. You have the ability to develop a mental model of and navigate, an enterprise organisation with a high degree of autonomy. Demonstrable understanding and practical experience in the application of standard threat intelligence methods and techniques such as Analysis of Competing Hypothesis and Diamond Model will make you stand out! Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel and experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms and Maltego (or equivalent) is important. Experience in maintaining quantitative Cyber Threat Profiles, threat models and delivery of strategic cyber threat intelligence products (including cyber relevant GeoPol) will give you an advantage. Experience working with a Security Operations Centre to embed a sustainable mechanism to maintain a view of the cyber threat adversaries relevant to an organisation Essential Qualifications Honours Degree in Computer Science Certified Information Systems Security Professional CREST Practitioner Threat Intelligence Analyst Equivalents of the above are also accepted More about the team The Cyber Threat Intelligence team, part of Cyber Resilience is a small but crucial team in Group Information Security. This role will be an integral part of that team operating at pace, supported by multiple industry recognised threat partners, to continuously monitor the threat landscape and undertake timely analysis and actionable reporting of tactical, operational and strategic cyber / cyber relevant geopolitical threats relevant to the Group. These intelligence products are critical to enabling effective decision making to prioritise and undertake corrective actions to proactively protect Group information and systems and to improve overall Cyber Resilience. This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. Why work with us?
