Job Description
Data Analyst role available for a 24-month contract with a client in Ballina, Co. Mayo. The position involves working remotely with occasional on-site requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Extracting information from multiple complex SQL joins and presenting insights in Tableau data visualisations.
- Applying analytics to understand customers, predictive behaviour modelling, risk analysis, compliance management, customer segmentation and pattern recognition.
- Assisting in the design of the client Enterprise Data Model to enable data ingestion, transformation, cleansing and consolidation.
- Leading the validation of proposed production data migration systems.
- Enhancing data quality and integrity across all datasets.
- Ensuring the client Data Reporting platform operates at maximum performance efficiency.
- Contributing to the design, development and delivery of the client Data Strategy.
- Facilitating knowledge transfer into the client Data Analysis team.
- Reporting and updating work items assigned to the Data Analytics Manager.
- Adhering to client ICT security policies and procedures.
Required competencies and skillsets include:
- Practical use of advanced technical data analysis techniques, including complex SQL and query optimisation.
- Practical use of Tableau to produce advanced data visualisations.
- Specific project-based experience in applying descriptive and predictive analytics using R and Python coding languages.
- Experience in using SSIS / Azure Data Factory to design and implement data ingestions.
- Ability to write quality technical support documents and carry out walkthroughs with team members.
- Handling of multiple business priority requests and ensuring quality on-time delivery.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1 G/4 Visa to apply.
