Job Description
Seeking a Data Analyst to work in a lab environment, driving impactful projects with a start-up feel, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven insights.
We are a multinational organisation, a leader in our industry, based in the midlands. This is a permanent role, with a hybrid model consisting of 4 days per week on site in our state-of-the-art office space.
Responsibilities
- Transform data into actionable insights, using a variety of tools and query techniques to develop solutions and identify business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Visualisation Teams to understand data sources, identify opportunities for value, and ensure insights are available for presentation and access.
- Communicate data-driven results and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Supplement automated reporting solutions with analytical insight to drive business performance improvements.
- Drive a culture change around data use and purpose, ensuring actions are driven by fact-based insight.
- Define, implement, and lead on robust data management and reporting processes.
- Identify and standardise data use and governance.
- Design and implement methods for consistent analytics application and use.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years data analysis and reporting experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in data querying, data mining, and data segmentation.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills and experience in developing calculations to interpret and assess data sets.
- 2+ years' experience using statistical analysis languages (R, Python, etc.).
- Good understanding of database concepts and data structures.
- Strong understanding of Business Intelligence strategies and data analysis.
- Financial services and General Insurance experience desired.
- Experienced subject matter expert, capable of working independently and delivering best practice solutions.
