This is a fantastic opportunity to create and enhance the digital future for our organisation using the very latest Business Intelligence technologies, creating sustainable business benefits and supporting the execution of Divisional strategies.We have created our new internal Business Intelligence competency in the Dublin office, and this presents a great opportunity for learning and career development in this full-time position.We are now recruiting for a Data Analytics Support Engineer for a permanent role in our Dublin Office.JOB PURPOSEThe Data Analytics Support Engineer is responsible for the support and maintenance of our data platform subscriptions and its infrastructure. The data engineer will also be involved in the end-to-end design and creation of pipelines in our data platform. Additionally, there will also be exposure to support, maintain and develop within our Power BI (PBI) models and reports. They will work closely with the Data Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to ensure new business requirements are delivered and existing solutions are monitored and supported.The appropriate candidate should have a true affinity for data with a pragmatic approach, constantly looking to reduce complexity and increase clarity and maintainability. Our focus in BI is to deliver business value and to continue supporting going forward – this role is an integral part of this principle.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with the Delivery and Business Intelligence teams on supporting the solutions and providing business requirements output.Monitor data pipelines, data flows and PBI models to ensure all processes are completed as expected.Build data pipelines and outputs using modern Azure technologies.Provide data to end users and the Business Intelligence team who use PBI and API Apps while implementing appropriate scheduling and data governance.Adhere to overall data architecture and guiding principles.Manage access control and security of the data platform.Support the documentation of the data objects and lineage in the data warehouse, the related business processes, and business use cases.Other tasks as required and directed by your line manager.Skills & ExperienceData Engineering knowledgeA minimum of 2-3 years of Azure Data Engineering experienceBI requirements / use casesData Analysis and QualityKnowledge of Data Modelling principlesData WarehousingETL/Pipelines developmentTechnical documentationProblem solvingKnowledge and hands-on experience with proven data architecture patterns and best practicesCapable of balancing and adhering to guiding principles and being pragmaticFocused on high value, low complexity solutions.Capable of balancing design between out of the box functionalities vs necessary customizationApplication Lifecycle Management (ALM)DevOpsDeployments, branchingMicrosoft technical expertise (experience and certifications) of the latest and most important Microsoft BI technology, like:Databricks (Desirable)Azure SQL (Desirable)Azure Data Lake (Desirable)FabricAzure Analysis ServicesPower BIPower PlatformIncluding hands on development experienceYour ProfileYou are a highly motivated, delivery focused individual with superb interpersonal skills and a passion for excellence. You have a positive outlook, a can-do attitude and thrive on working in a multi-cultural team environment. You have relevant Microsoft certifications, such as DP-200, DP-201, DP-203, DP-600. DA-100 or other related certifications/exams desirable.
