Data Architect role in Cork, Ireland, with a well-known insurance company, responsible for designing and optimizing data architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize data architecture
- Lead the integration of diverse data sources
- Create efficient data pipelines and ETL processes
- Build scalable, efficient, and secure data systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related role
- Expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., My SQL, Postgre SQL)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with ETL tools and designing data pipelines (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend)
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data governance, and metadata management
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
