Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Data Center Chief Engineer to join our New Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Team in Israel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in maintaining critical physical infrastructure.

The Data Center Chief Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Piping) systems operate at 100% availability while maintaining first-class customer service. This involves full ownership of maintenance programs, including predictive/preventative maintenance, corrective work, troubleshooting, and emergency response.

The successful candidate will serve as an expert technical resource, interacting with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians and third-party vendors. They will be expected to drive innovation, resiliency, and reliability while reducing operational costs in the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates properly per design and meets DC required parameters 24/7.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs, including predictive/preventative maintenance, corrective work, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians and third-party vendors to resolve issues and improve operations.
  • Drive innovation, resiliency, and reliability while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
  • Direct, train, and support Engineering Operations Technicians in their role of providing hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineer license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar industry.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, verbal and written, in both individual and group situations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning, implementing, and assessing training.
