Summary: Data Center Engineering Technician responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of data center operations, with a focus on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

We're seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to serve as a technical resource within our mission-critical Data Center's. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of Data Center Engineering Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety equipment and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
- Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of all Data Center systems, including incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation/notification/resolution.
- Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, cooling systems, fire/life safety equipment and generators.
- Provide assistance to contractor or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Perform site walk-throughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
A Day in the Life:
- Monitor all alarms and systems involved in the operation of power, cooling and fire suppression systems in the data center.
- Plan and coordinate vendor works on site to ensure equipment is maintained and uptime retained.
- Support other sites and teams during events and planned works.
- Carry out rack power up and installation duties.
- Monitor and facilitate new equipment handover.
- Support new hires and team members through knowledge share and development.

Requirements:
- 2+ years electrical, mechanical and/or controls relevant experience (degree or trade qualification preferred) with demonstrated key electrical and mechanical competencies and theory.
- An ability to follow procedures system documentation and track issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system and apply safe electrical practice.
- Competent in use of basic IT programs such as MS Word/Excel or similar.
- Valid driving license and able to cover a 24x7 shift rotation.
