Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a rapidly growing business within Amazon, with a focus on expanding its presence in APAC. We are looking for talented engineers who can take ownership, learn quickly, and work independently. The successful candidate will follow Amazon Data Center processes and maintain high operational standards in supporting server and network hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Work a 7x24 roster in data center operations
- Respond to incidents and provide on-site support
- Perform break-fix and troubleshooting tasks according to process guidelines
- Maintain proper media operations according to process guidelines
- Manage capacity and decommission equipment according to process guidelines
- Ensure site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas
- Contribute to improving operation efficiency through innovative ideas

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Good attention to details
- Degree / High Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines
- 1 year experience in server / network hardware and operation systems maintenance / troubleshooting
- Experience in network cabling including optical
- Sound understanding of incident response and prioritization
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in Data Center Operations
- Knowledge of data center networking
- Knowledge of cloud computing
- Knowledge of continuous process improvement
- Literacy in security and customer data protection
