AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. **Job Overview** Join a diverse team of experts as a key leader in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. You will oversee the development and management of teams, providing technical and leadership expertise to ensure the highest levels of performance. Key responsibilities include: • Managing and developing teams of engineers to ensure the highest levels of performance • Maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centres • Helping build and bring online new Data Centres • Constantly improving all processes and procedures • Assisting and managing relationships with external vendors and contractors • Ensuring adherence to and exceeding local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centres • Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of Data Centres and utilising those metrics to drive positive changes • Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc. **Requirements** • Engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large scale services • 3+ years building and managing strong, successful technical teams in a similar culture • Incident Management, Vendor Management, Process Improvement Experience • Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects with prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team and/or product • Security and Health & Safety awareness **Preferred Qualifications** • Technical depth to pass at least one of our Network Engineer, Systems Engineer or Developer Support Engineer skill set • Project Management with OE and/or Agile experience • Capacity planning and budgetary experience • Experience in Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma is preferable • Change Management & Fault Management AWS is an equal opportunities employer.
