Job Description
Summary: Join eir evo as a Data Centre Engineer to manage VMWare data centres, install and troubleshoot information systems, and ensure high availability and performance SLAs for Cloud customers.
Responsibilities:
* Install, manage and troubleshoot information systems
* Represent eir evo at various data centres
* Deliver services like infrastructure hosting, backup & DR, VDI and networking services
* Manage vendor replacement of faulty equipment and maintain documentation
* Supervise contractors/customers and install fiber and copper cross connects
* Troubleshoot facility and rack level events
Candidate Profile:
* Technical person with ownership of projects and systems
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Analytical/troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn new technologies
* Experience working with cloud or infrastructure services, particularly VMware
Requirements:
* 7 years experience in a customer-facing technical support role
* 4 years working in a cloud or datacentre environment
* Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
* Experience working with VMware, Azure, Windows Server, HP or Dell Storage Arrays, Kaseya, Autotask, Veeam, Citrix, Azure, Cisco, Palo Alto
