We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Analyst to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, security, and quality of an organization's data assets. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance practices and data management strategies. Your primary focus will be on safeguarding data assets, optimising data processes, and supporting data-driven decision-making within the organisation. In this role you will support all areas of the Bank in respect of Data Governance, Data Management and Data Access Control. You will support management in the operation of the Data Management tools used by the team and also support the running of the Data Assurance Forum, the Group Data Governance Forum and the Bank's Data Steward Network. Responsibilities: Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Support the annual review of the Data Management Framework, Policies, Standards, and Procedures. Ensure compliance with data regulations and industry standards (e.g. GDPR, BCBS239) Establish data stewardship practices and assign data ownership responsibilities Create and maintain data dictionaries, data lineage, and metadata repositories Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of data sources and data flows Run the Bank's data management tooling (IBM Infosphere Information Server, Varonis) to achieve objectives. Support management in the review of current tooling and any implementation of new technology to advance data management maturity. Define data retention and archiving policies to ensure compliance and optimize storage Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce data security best practices Drive the continuous improvement of the Data Governance and Data Management by refining processes and methods, tools and systems. Create and present reports and dashboards that communicate key data governance metrics and insights. Collaborate with the Data Owners, System owners, and Process Owners to identify, map and upload information relating to the bank's Business Processes, Regulatory Reporting and associated information assets to the banks Data management tooling. Provide support and mentoring/coaching to less experienced colleagues. Requirements: Essential Relevant 3rd Level qualification (Degree, Masters) in a related field (Information systems, Computer Science, Data management) At least 3 years? experience in similar or related role. Expertise in Data Management or Data Governance and a solid grasp of financial regulatory regulation and associated activities and guidance (GDPR, Data protection act, CRR, SREP, BCBS239 etc.). Proficiency in data management tools, metadata management tools, and data governance frameworks. Strong SQL skills, understanding of database modelling principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in running/administering enterprise class Data Management tools such as IBM Infosphere Information server, Varonis DatAdvantage or similar. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Certification in data management or data governance (e.g., CDMP, DCAM) is a plus.
