Job Description

Seeking experienced Data Manager to join Animal Health client in Dublin for 11-month contract. Collaborate with Marketing, IT, and R&D teams to build animal data models and ensure data quality.

**Job Description:**

The Data Manager will be responsible for building and implementing data models revolving around animals, defining and enforcing data standards, and collaborating with various teams to identify data-related requirements. They will also monitor data quality, conduct data profiling and analysis, and establish data documentation and metadata management processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement data models revolving around animals
  • Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification schemes
  • Collaborate with marketing, veterinary professionals, researchers, data engineers, and data management teams to identify data-related requirements
  • Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve issues or anomalies in animal health records and datasets
  • Conduct data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of animal health data
  • Establish data documentation and metadata management processes for animal health records, diagnostic, and research data
  • Provide guidance and support to veterinary professionals and researchers on data governance best practices and standards in animal health

**Requirements:**

  • 5-8 years of proven hands-on experience working as a Data Steward, Data Manager, Data Custodian, or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Information Systems Management or a related field
  • Proficiency in data quality, cataloging, modeling, analysis, and metadata management
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as Collibra, Immuta, and Data Bricks
  • Experience harvesting data from ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and Salesforce
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and analyze veterinary records and diagnostic data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in dynamic environments
