Data Manager Summary: Develop and implement data models for animal health, ensuring data quality and integrity, and collaborating with teams to identify data-related requirements.
As a Data Manager, you will play a vital role in building our animal data models, working closely with Marketing, IT, and R&D leads and teams to explore the data our products upload to our data platform.
**Key Responsibilities:** • Develop and implement data models revolving around animals • Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification schemes • Collaborate with marketing, veterinary professionals, researchers, data engineers, and data management teams to identify data-related requirements and ensure alignment with animal health objectives • Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve issues or anomalies in animal health records and datasets • Conduct data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of animal health data • Establish data documentation and metadata management processes for animal health records, diagnostic, and research data • Provide guidance and support to veterinary professionals and researchers on data governance best practices and standards in animal health
**Requirements:** • 5-8 years of proven hands-on experience working as a Data Steward, Data Manager, Data Custodian, or similar role • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Information Systems Management or a related field • Proficiency in data quality, cataloguing, modelling, analysis, and metadata management • Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as Collibra, Immuta, and Data Bricks • Experience harvesting data from ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and Salesforce • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and analyze veterinary records and diagnostic data • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in dynamic environments • Experience in Data Science or a related field • Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal health data management principles • Experience working for multi-national companies • Skills: Data Bricks, Salesforce, SAP
