We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Protection / Privacy Lawyer to join the growing Commercial Litigation practice of our exclusive law firm hiring partner.
This role is centered around the digital economy, with a strong focus on regulatory investigations, appeals, judicial reviews, referrals to the European Courts, and privacy litigation topics such as data subject access requests (DSARs) and privacy-related disputes.
You will work with the firm's extensive Commercial Litigation group, tackling complex and novel matters for major international and domestic clients.
This position also offers significant business development and training opportunities to help you develop your own profile.In this role, you will:
- Engage in cuttingedge commercial litigation in the privacy and data protection space;
- Support on regulatory investigations, appeals, judicial reviews, and referrals to European Courts;
- Gain exposure to both contentious and noncontentious employmentrelated data protection topics;
- Handle complex DSARs;
- Advise on regulatory compliance obligations within GDPR, Irish Data Protection Acts, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence regulations;
- Advise a broad client base on a range of contentious and noncontentious privacy matters;
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary specialist teams focused on the digital economy, tackling highprofile and businesscritical client projects;
- Contribute to team education and mentoring initiatives;
- Participate in business development opportunities, including representing the firm at international conferences and client development activities abroad;
- Help drive thought leadership in privacy and data protection law within the digital economy through client knowledge programmes.
