Experienced Data Protection/Privacy Lawyer sought for Commercial Litigation practice, focusing on regulatory investigations, appeals, and privacy litigation.
We are seeking an experienced Data Protection/Privacy Lawyer to join our Commercial Litigation practice, focusing on regulatory investigations, appeals, and privacy litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in cutting-edge commercial litigation in the privacy and data protection space
- Support on regulatory investigations, appeals, judicial reviews, and referrals to European Courts
- Gain exposure to both contentious and non-contentious employment-related data protection topics
- Handle complex DSARs
- Advise on regulatory compliance obligations within GDPR, Irish Data Protection Acts, Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence regulations
- Advise a broad client base on a range of contentious and non-contentious privacy matters
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary specialist teams focused on the digital economy, tackling high-profile and business-critical client projects
- Contribute to team education and mentoring initiatives
- Participate in business development opportunities, including representing the firm at international conferences and client development activities abroad
- Help drive thought leadership in privacy and data protection law within the digital economy through client knowledge programmes
Requirements:
- Experienced litigator with a keen interest in privacy, data protection, and the digital economy
- Strong technical expertise and a proven track record in business development
- Highly client-focused, with a commitment to consistently exceeding client expectations
- Ability to manage a diverse and dynamic workload, delivering high-quality, commercially-focused advice
- Passionate about the law you practice, hardworking, and resilient
