Job Title: Data Protection Officer (Grade V) Salary:€49,707 Contract: Ongoing, minimum 3 months Location: Dublin City Centre South Are you passionate about data privacy and protection in healthcare? Our client is seeking a Data Protection Officer (Grade V) in a dynamic hospital environment where you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with GDPR and data privacy laws. Key Responsibilities: Oversee data protection strategies and ensure adherence to GDPR. Conduct audits, risk assessments, and provide guidance on data management practices. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to safeguard patient information. Investigate data breaches and respond to data subject requests. Help maintain a record of departmental statistics, including the number of data protection requests made to the team including SARs, erasure requests, data breaches and complaints. Requirements: Experience in data protection, particularly within healthcare. Strong knowledge of GDPR regulations. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Relevant 3rd level qualification.
