Job Description

**Data Quality Developer Opportunity** SMBC Group is a top-tier global financial group with a 400-year history, offering diverse financial services worldwide. The role involves developing and implementing data quality solutions using industry-leading software applications like Collibra Data Governance and IBM's Info Sphere Products. **Key Responsibilities:** • Develop highly scalable applications in Python/Django framework • Create and deploy applications in azure environment with various interconnected azure components • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers and environments • Write simple and complex SQL queries with table joins and perform data profiling analysis • Ability to work with QA Teams, UAT Teams and Data Quality managers on an international team • Fix any defects that arise and be responsible for own unit testing • Complete complex ad-hoc research, DQ analysis, and reporting as a data quality subject-matter expert **Requirements:** • Bachelor's or higher degree in ICT or science • Knowledge of and willingness to adapt to new data management technologies • Strong understanding of relational (and ideally dimensional) database concepts and SQL query writing • Resilient under pressure, adaptable to unforeseen work demands, and able to work to tight time scales • Experience with Agile methodologies • Good communication skills in English, including report writing • Analytical mindset **Preferred Previous Work Experience:** • Experience with Data Analysis, Data Profiling, or Data Quality Development • Familiarity with Collibra Data Governance, Collibra Data Quality, or IBM Info Sphere suite • 2-5 years in the financial services industry with a data quality focus • Experience in data quality with respect to regulatory or financial reporting • Data Quality and Data Governance certifications **Additional Information:** • SMBC employees work in a hybrid workforce model, allowing for flexibility between home and office work. • SMBC is an equal employment opportunity employer, considering all qualified applicants without regard to protected characteristics.
