Data Science Lead, Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence, Dublin
We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Data Science Lead to join our newly established AI Centre of Excellence. The AI Co E will be responsible for driving and supporting the development and implementation of AI solutions across the business and ensuring alignment with our AI framework and data ethics principles.
Key accountabilities:
- Develops, inspires and motivates a team of highly skilled data scientists across a programme of diverse data science projects.
- Delivers a catalogue of use cases with proven value, utilising a broad spectrum of techniques.
- Applies scientific methods through experimental design, exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to reach robust conclusions.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, adept at identifying and articulating data science solutions supporting business growth.
- Is future-focused, continuously developing data science and AI knowledge, and ways of utilising new tools and techniques to tackle business and organisational challenges.
- Thinks holistically and strategically with a proven ability to plan, organise, and manage complex AI products.
Requirements:
- MSc or Ph D in Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership and organisation skills in Data Science, with 4+ years of experience leading, motivating, coaching and inspiring highly skilled data scientists.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of AI concepts, tools, and applications, and familiarity with the AI landscape and trends.
- Demonstrates solid foundation of statistics, predictive modelling, machine learning algorithms/frameworks and deep learning frameworks.
- Strong coding abilities in SQL, as well as Python or R.
