Job Description
As a seasoned data science leader, you will be responsible for implementing AI solutions that align with AIB's strategic objectives and deliver positive customer outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with the bank's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a team of highly skilled data scientists across a programme of diverse data science projects.
- Deliver a catalogue of use cases with proven value, utilising a broad spectrum of techniques.
- Apply scientific methods through experimental design, exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to reach robust conclusions.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, adept at identifying and articulating data science solutions supporting business growth.
- Is future-focused, continuously developing data science and AI knowledge, and ways of utilising new tools and techniques to tackle business and organisational challenges.

Requirements:
- MSc or Ph D in Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent qualification.
- Strong leadership and organisation skills in Data Science, with 4+ years of experience leading, motivating, coaching and inspiring highly skilled data scientists.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of AI concepts, tools, and applications, and familiarity with the AI landscape and trends.
- Demonstrate solid foundation of statistics, predictive modelling, machine learning algorithms/frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn) and deep learning frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, Keras, Py Torch).
- Strong coding abilities in SQL, as well as Python or R.
