Launch Program The Launch program is a development program that is supplemental to the role and is designed to help you transition from being a student to being a Mastercard employee.
In this program, you will participate in: Four-day orientation focused on getting to know Mastercard, building your skills, and being a force for good (Mastercard's culture)Professional skills workshops Launch Innovation Week Social impact – pro bono team challenge As a Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to: Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights, trends, and patterns.
Develop and implement machine learning models to solve business problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support the development of data tools, dashboards, and reporting systems.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data science and analytics.
Qualifications Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or accelerated master's program graduating in summer 2025.
Computer Science / Data Analytics background.
Available to start a new role in September 2025.
Insightful problem-solver, able to gather input from multiple divergent sources, narrow in on any problems or gaps, and propose effective solutions.
Conversant with data: comfortable working with datasets of varying sizes, able to generate descriptive statistics and find simple patterns.
Bonus: knowledge of and experience with machine learning models.
Familiar with at least one of the following tools: Tableau, SQL, Python, AWS, Hadoop.
Excellent communicator, especially in group settings and with presentations to differing audiences.
