Job Description

As a Cloud Support Engineer at Amazon Web Services, you will be at the forefront of cloud technology, assisting companies and developers in getting the most out of their cloud products and services.

Key responsibilities include learning and using groundbreaking technologies, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques, interacting with leading engineers, and partnering with Amazon Web Services teams to resolve customer issues.

Additionally, you will leverage your extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve services, drive customer communication during critical events, and work on complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for solving customer cases through various contact channels, including telephone, email, and web/live chat, and will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for customers.

You will also have the opportunity to coach/mentor new hires, develop and present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/scripts to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of technical issues, including database technologies like Amazon Aurora, Document DB, Timestream, and Database Migration Services.

Key qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, good knowledge/experience in administration and troubleshooting, and knowledge in database engines such as MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL/MariaDB/SQL Server/Amazon Aurora.

Preferred qualifications include 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, knowledge/experience in database troubleshooting and performance tuning, and experience with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Riak.
