Job Description
Support Instructor required for Day Services in Dublin area to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
St John of God Liffey Services supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within their communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a Day Services setting
- Developing and implementing individualised services and supports
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Supports
- Supporting individuals in their personal care if required
- Driving as part of the role
Requirements:
- Relevant third level qualification in Social Care, Education, Training, etc.
- 1 year of experience working with people with support needs, preferably intellectual disability
- Enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility and empathy for working with people across the spectrum of intellectual disabilities
- Knowledge of and commitment to adhering to high levels of infection prevention and control
- Proficient ICT skills
- Full clean manual driving licence
