Job Description
The Day Services Manager is responsible for overseeing operations and services for adults with disabilities. Key responsibilities include service management, person-centred planning, staff leadership, collaboration, budget management, and strategic planning.
- Service Management: Oversee day-to-day operations in line with Company and HSE New Directions policies.
- Person-Centred Planning: Ensure each individual has a meaningful plan that supports their goals.
- Staff Leadership: Manage staff performance, including supervision, appraisals, and team-building initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards are met, especially safeguarding and health/safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and community networks for holistic support.
- Budget Management: Oversee financial resources, ensuring effective budget control and procurement.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to service development and ensure alignment with Company's long-term goals.
Key Requirements: Relevant 3rd Level Qualification (Healthcare, Social Care, etc.), Minimum 5 years of social care experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role. A full driving license and vehicle access are also required. Strong communication, IT, and organizational skills are essential. Managerial experience in a previous Healthcare setting is an advantage.
