Job Description
A DCS Engineer is required to work on a 2-year contract with a Limerick-based client, implementing minor changes to the existing DCS system and bringing new levels of automation to the plant. The role involves implementing minor changes to the existing DCS system, bringing new levels of automation to the plant, and maximising the utilisation of existing systems. Key elements of the position include problem solving, data modelling, and project management. The successful candidate will have a minimum undergraduate degree in chemical, electrical, automation, or mechanical engineering, and a minimum of 7 years' process or process controls engineering experience in the petrochemical or mineral refining industry. Key requirements include:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in chemical, electrical, automation, or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 7 years' process or process controls engineering experience in petrochemical or mineral refining industry.
- Demonstrable expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Process Control Infrastructure.
- PLS (Siemens / Allen Bradley /Rockwell).
- DCS (Honeywell and/or GE Mark VI preferably).
- Cyber protection solutions.
- Data modelling in heavy industry.
- Experience in OSI-Soft or OPC Connectivity would be a distinct advantage.
