Job Description
Automation Engineer sought by a leading Dublin Pharmaceutical company for a long-term hourly rate contract position to provide technical support for plant control systems and coordinate systems support activities in a multi-product manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support for the plant control system (Emerson Delta V, Allen-Bradley PLC)
- Co-ordinating systems support activities in a multi-product manufacturing facility
- Providing day-to-day automation technical support to value streams, operations and process teams
- Managing plant information systems support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Developing documentation to support the operation of the DCS
- Carrying out system upgrades and migrations, and monitoring and verifying overall system health
- Taking ownership of plant control systems to ensure they provide manufacturing automation solutions that can be executed safely and compliant with regulatory agencies
- Identifying hazards and assessing their relative risk, and incorporating recommendations into systems change and process improvements
- Supporting recipe testing and change-overs
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- The right to freely work in Ireland with no visa restrictions
A bonus is given for experience with Delta V systems.
