Job Description

As a Department Manager at Tory Burch, you will lead the sales team and drive business results through exceptional customer service, sales leadership, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and model behavior that reflects the company's core values.
  • Manage conflict and take ownership for your part in the team dynamic.
  • Act as the Transformational Leader of the Floor and motivate the team on achievement of sales plans & personal sales goals.
  • Ensure high level of customer service through extensive product knowledge and product ownership.
  • Partner with the GM and AGM to ensure effective store communications.
  • Contribute to a positive atmosphere that is fun, professional, productive and team oriented.
Customer Experience:
  • Lead by example to create an environment that consistently delivers transformational customer experiences.
  • Model a highly productive selling environment by providing consistent training & coaching to sales associates.
  • Take ownership for the customer journey in your boutique.
  • Demonstrate a strong use of selling skills.
  • Lead the team by example through demonstration of repeat business and maximization of sales.
  • Maintain a "One Company" perspective on charge sends, returns, and other such transactions.
Brand Representation:
  • Understand and communicate the Tory Burch brand aesthetic, brand philosophy and lifestyle to the associates and the customer.
  • Emulate the brand aesthetic by embodying a strong sense of fashion and an enthusiastic attitude.
  • Contribute to maintaining all brand and operating standards to support brand consistency.
  • Assist in maintaining store presentation standards.
  • Leverage in-store technology to ensure every customer's experience is transformational.
Operational Excellence:
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures.
  • Accurately process all POS transactions and inventory functions.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence.
Business Results:
  • Achieve personal sales and metric goals.
  • Build and maintain new and existing client relationships.
  • Maintain a solid, organized client book.
  • Manage people resources to maximize sales and customer engagement.
  • Manage the sales floor with agility and continuously improve based on key indicators.
Prior Experience:
  • 2-4 yrs. experience in a high volume, customer-driven retail environment.
  • Strong personal selling and customer relations experience.
  • Previous sales leadership and motivation experience.
  • Ability to lift (at least 30 lbs), carry, push, pull, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, crawl, reach and bend.
  • Availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, store openings and closings.
