Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Deputy Care Manager to support the management of our residential care facility in County Galway. The successful candidate will assist in leading the care team to ensure high-quality, person-centred care for our residents. This role requires strong leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to upholding the highest care standards. Employment Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday) Hours: 39 hours per week Requirements Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) on the register of nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered. Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience within a minimum of two years experience in Care of the older person at within the previous 6 years / Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Community Nurse Manager in a residential setting. Have depth knowledge of the ageing process. Post - registration management qualification. Qualification in Gerontology and/or Dementia would be desirable. Gerontology skills is desirable. Demonstrate an ability to embrace change and be committed to continuous improvement and learning throughout the residential care home. Working knowledge of HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines. Have the skill to influence others, build constructive relationships and achieve outcomes. Available to work flexible hours when required. Appreciation of finance issues.
