ALS Life Sciences has a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Environmental Chemistry Lab Manager to join their team in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Job Summary Working Mondays to Fridays or Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9am to 5.30pm. To perform and assist in the allocation of work in the lab to the high standards of quality required. Assist with method development and validation. Investigation of customer complaints and non-conforming work. Participate in internal and external audits. Deputise for Environmental Manager as required and respond to customer queries. Provide training and technical support to staff on an ongoing basis. Ensure that all results obtained by the team are calculated, checked, and entered into the LIMS system without delay. Ensure that agreed quality systems are continually adhered to, such as calibration checks, internal quality controls, daily checks, and spiked samples. Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner with due regard and compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and procedures. Perform other duties as required. About You Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Environmental Chemistry laboratory is required. Knowledge of method development and method validation. Previous experience in routine testing required (BOD, COD, SS, pH, Conductivity, etc.). Excellent standards of PC literacy (Excel, Word). Analytical and logical approach with a keen eye for detail. Able to thrive under pressure and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Remuneration Salary starting from €36,951 depending on experience. Job Type: Full-time. Pay: From €36,951.00 per year. Schedule: 8 hour shift. Ability to commute/relocate: Carrigeen Business Park, Clonmel, CO.
