Job Description

Overview The post holder is responsible for the delivery and implementation of a range of operational Human Resource (HR) services within Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown (CHB) and the provision of advice and guidance on specialist Employee Relations (ER) and HR matters to support the Hospital in the achievement of its business and people related objectives. Collaborate and support the Human Resources Manager, Hospital General Manager (GM) and Group HR Management on the implementation of the HR operating model. Involvement in all day to day operational aspects of the HR Department. The key areas of responsibility are Change Management, Recruitment and Retention, Workforce Planning, Training and Development, Performance Management, Employee Relations, HR Metrics and Policy Development and Research. This campaign will run in compliance with the Code of Practice prepared by the Commission for Public Service Appointments (CPSA). The CPSA is responsible for establishing the principles that should be followed when making an appointment. These are set out in the CPSA Code of Practice. The Code outlines the standards that should be adhered to at each stage of the selection process and sets out the review and appeal mechanisms open to candidates should they be unhappy with a selection process. Essential Criteria Candidates must possess on date of application; Minimum 4 years' experience HR with the last 2 working in a senior HR Business Partner or equivalent role. Significant general and operational human resource experience encompassing workforce planning, recruitment, employee/ industrial relations, HR data/ KPI's, training and development. Experience of working with multiple unions and negotiating with unions Strong working knowledge of HR and IT systems - HRIS system, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience in managing/supervising a team. Excellent report writing and communication skills with technical ability to present data in a timely and professional manner. Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office. A relevant third level qualification or being in the process of attaining a HR qualification is essential.
