This role will report to the Deputy Manager and will ensure that we are serving Ireland's shoppers a little better every day.You will be responsible for:Creating an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customersBeing responsible for the store when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are not presentEnsuring that the team is fully trained and validated in their rolesCreating an environment of two-way communication, inspiring a culture of trustCoaching and managing colleagues to enable them to deliver their daily prioritiesReviewing reports and systems to deliver the right improvements for customers and colleaguesDriving a culture of zero food waste and managing date codesRecruiting the best colleagues for our teamUnderstanding and ensuring the cleaning specifications for the store are delivered through your teamManaging stock control activities and processesRoot causing any incorrect prices and ensuring customers are charged the correct priceManaging the front-end operation to ensure that customers do not queueRecognising when colleagues give great service and providing feedbackYou will need:For the ‘Line Manager’ role, you have a demonstrated track record of:Being passionate about delivering the right way for customers and colleaguesBeing adaptable and agile in your thinkingDelivering key objectives in a fast-paced environmentBeing the ‘Go To’ person for all queries in your departmentShaping and influencing at the most senior levelPrevious Retail Experience preferred in a similar roleWhat’s in it for you:We offer excellent benefits that help make Tesco a great place to work.
