About the company Pastures New Accommodation Ltd. is an emergency accommodation provider and operator whose main objective is to create a welcoming and inclusive resource environment that offers comprehensive support, empowerment, and integration opportunities for Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP/s) in Ireland. We are looking for a highly experienced Deputy Manager to assist with the operations of emergency accommodation located approx. one hour drive from Dublin city. This position is for fixed term contract until 22nd Feb 2025 with the following compensation package: SalaryDOE Includedoutsideofdailyrate: Carallowancedependentonlocation Meals Subsidised accommodation, if required Reporting to:General Manager The Deputy Manager, reporting to the General Manager, plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being and overall experience of residents within the property. You will act as the primary point of contact for residents and will support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of resident welfare, property management, team coordination and employee development. Roles and Responsibilities: OperationsManagement In support of the General Manager, or in the absence of, lead and manage the operation, staff, contractors and suppliers in line with company objectives, guidelines and regulatory requirements Cost and Budget Management In support of the General Manager, ensure that all OPEX, procurement and supplier costs are controlled and in line with operational, budgetary and regulatory requirements Rooms and Property Management Manage rooms, occupancy, allocation in line with company objectives, resident guidelines and regulatory requirements, including the onsite Maintenance and Housekeeping teams Front Desk Management Oversee the Front Desk team, providing guidance, training, and support Ensure that the front desk operations run smoothly and efficiently, including managing resident arrivals, visitor check-ins and security protocols Open and Closing Procedures Ensure that all opening and closing procedures are carried out by team members according to established protocols Conduct regular checks to verify compliance with security and safety measures New Team Member and Resident Induction Provide comprehensive induction for all new team members to acquaint them with the property's policies, procedures, and standards. Extend the same induction process to new residents to ensure they are aware of the community guidelines and resources available. Resident Welfare Maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for all residents Addressresidentconcernsandinquiriespromptlyandprofessionally Foster a sense of community and ensure a high standard of living for residents Database Management Maintain an accurate and up-to-date resident database Keep detailed records of Residentinformation Leases Contractsandagreements Contact details Liaison with Intreo and HSE Act as point of contact for government agencies, such as Intreo and HSE, to ensure compliance and provide necessary support to residents The ideal candidate: Previous experience in property management, hospitality, emergency accommodation services or related roles is preferred Drivinglicenceasthenatureofthisrolemayrequiretravel Strongworkethic,hospitalityandserviceskills Abletoworkflexiblehours,includingeveningsandweekendsasneeded Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents and manage team members ExperienceinF&BManagement Culturalsensitivityandawareness Organisationalandproblem-solvingskillstomanageresidentwelfareanddatabase effectively Knowledgeofrelevantregulationsandgovernmentagencies,suchasIntreoand HSE Attentiontodetail Abroadunderstandingofdifferentculturesandasensitivitytodiversityin backgrounds Gardavetted-thiscanbearranged Haveunderstandingandcompassionforpeopleinvulnerablesituations Acurrentknowledgeofthesocialservices,policiesandregulationsinIreland Fluency in the Ukrainian language an advantage Please send your cover letter and CV by clicking Apply.
