Job Description
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Deputy Sheriff to provide law enforcement services, including patrolling areas, enforcing laws, and serving civil process. The ideal candidate will have 18 months of experience as a Deputy Sheriff I in the Alameda County classified Service and a California POST Basic certificate. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise inmates in a county correctional institution
- Patrol areas and enforce law and order
- Receive and serve civil process
- Maintain order in courts
- Assist with special investigations
- Investigate circumstances surrounding death in cases referred to Coroner
- Coordinate emergency services programs and volunteer activities

Requirements:
- Valid California State Motor Vehicle Operator's license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Candidates are not required to be a US citizen but must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a thorough background investigation
