Design and BCAR Coordinators are sought to join the building team on education projects in Dublin, managing design delivery and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
**Job Description**
As a Design and BCAR Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Managing design delivery project documentation
- Treating Health and Safety, sustainability, cost, time, constructability, and quality as primary drivers of approach
- Working alongside the Design Manager to chair and minute weekly Design Team/Information meetings
- Leasing with the Project Manager/Contracts Manager and site team to review up-and-coming information requirements
- Tracking the Design Release/Schedule of information
- Attending design/technical workshop meetings with subcontractors and design teams
- Overseeing and compiling Material/Technical "RDD" Submittals (MTS/TS) for issuance to BAM's D+B DT
- Communicating with the DT and subcontractor until the submittal reaches minimum Status B or A approval
- Completing and issuing MTS's ("RDD") to the client (Department of Education) TA's/MDTT (Technical Assessors/Multi-Disciplinary Technical Team)
- Familiarizing yourself with the DOES's General Works Requirements (GWR) and project-specific SSWR
- Ensuring all MTS/TS are in compliance with the GWR, SSWR, and contract documents
- Overseeing the D+B DT's issuance of Design Submissions (DS's) and Designer Checklists to the TA/MDTT via the Autodesk (ACC) CDE
- Updating the Design Submissions tracker on a minimum weekly basis or after a DS is issued
- Updating the MTS/TS tracker on a minimum weekly basis
- Maintaining the RFI tracker
- Leasing with the project team and DT and issuing agreed RFIs as required
- Ensuring the site team (PM, Site engineers, QS, etc.) are fully aware of and working to the latest revisions of information
- Managing and attending site Benchmark Mockups/FoK's (First of a Kind)
- Recording the FoK along with signed attendance sheet and photos
- Completing the FoK record report and uploading to the CDE
- Ensuring initial Benchmarks/FoK's are completed on site between BAM site supervision, the subcontractor/supplier, manufacturer (where possible), and the actual site installers
- Working closely with the client's Assigned Certifier and their Material Technical Submittals reviewer to build a good working relationship and ensure MTS's are accepted/approved prior to being formally issued to the TA/MDTT
- Ensuring MTS from subcontractors/suppliers have the correct up-to-date documents such as DOPs/CE markings, etc.
- Assisting with BCAR management, site inspections, and receipt of BCAR documentation from subcontractors/suppliers
- Assisting with site QA/QC and closure of IFCOs (Issues for Closeout) received from our DT and the client's Assigned Certifier
- Keeping the project QS up-to-date of any client or DT changes to the design, etc., that may have commercial implications
- Completing the design section of the bi-weekly Contractors Progress reports, such as DS's, MTS, RFIs, etc.
