My client are a UK leading Design Consultancy based in Dublin, Ireland. With a number of years' experience working on innovative and future proof products and experiences that enhance businesses and improve lives. In exchange the chosen Design Consultant will be offered an attractive benefits package with a salary circa up to €55,000, performance-based bonus, 23 days holidays + Bank Holidays, flexible working and more. The role: As a Design Consultant you will have the opportunity to work closely with the technical design engineers and across all other departments that are involved within each project. We are seeking an individual who has experience with engineering science and mechanisms whilst equally appreciating the aesthetics and usability. Ideation of technical concepts Creation of 2D and 3D visual illustrations demonstrating function and usability Transfer of sketches into 3D CAD surface models Variation of ideas transformed into 2D sketches and 3D CAD models for both internal and client review Design of proof-of-principle rigs, experimenting and testing for performance verification and optimization Regular communication with manufactures and supplies to ensure designs can be transferred robustly to production Producing and controlling reports, drawings and other documentationJob Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Product/Industrial Design Engineering or equivalent 5 years+ design service experience Experience in a similar role - previous consultancy experience would be ideal Strong sketching ability, 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks or CREO), understanding of manufacturing processes and materials Experience in rapid prototyping Use of Adobe suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) would be advantageous Benefits Package: In exchange, my client offer an attractive employee benefits package which will include Salary between €45k - €55k per annum Performance based bonus Flexible Working Opportunity for international travel If you feel you meet the above requirements, then please feel free to click the 'apply' button.
