Design Engineering Director
A leading Multinational Semiconductor EDA Software provider seeks a Design Engineering Director to lead and develop ultra-high-speed controller IP developments in Cork or Dublin City, Ireland.
About the Role:
- Lead and develop new and exciting ultra-high-speed controller IP developments.
- Technically lead the Ethernet IP and subsystem design/verification team for the latest 802.3 200 G, 400 G, 800 G, and 1.6 T Ethernet standards.
- Collaborate with Cadence high-speed Ser Des teams to produce full Ethernet subsystems and solutions for customers.
Requirements:
- Previous experience developing and building teams to achieve business goals.
- Extensive knowledge of protocols such as DDR, PCIe, CXL, UCIe, Ethernet, and Flash Storage.
- Ability to architect SOC/NOC based solutions and provide direction and leadership to teams.
- Extensive RTL implementation knowledge and design flow expertise.
- Experience with Metric Driven Verification (MDV) and Formal techniques a plus.
- Knowledge of emulation techniques and cloud-based computing solutions a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Honors Degree BSc and/or MSc in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum 20 years of industry experience.
- Ability to manage a technical team of up to 12 people and drive teams towards defined goals and roadmaps.
