Role Title: Design System UI Designer Role Location: Dublin Company: Vhi Group Services DAC A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for a UI Designer role. Benefits: Hybrid working opportunities Health Insurance Performance related pay Company pension And many more Role Purpose As a Design System UI Designer at Vhi, you will: Contribute to building, maintaining, and evolving reusable components for our platform libraries (web and app). Collaborate with our Team to design and maintain our platform libraries using variants, tokens, and other scaling principles. Assist in implementing and maintaining processes for managing parts of the Jellyfish Design System. Work with product teams to implement the design system in UI projects and provide feedback for improvement. Contribute to identifying opportunities for simplifying designs across products. Assist in creating and maintaining end-user documentation for the Jellyfish Design System. Contribute to understanding design to development handover. Support wider teams in using the Jellyfish Design System effectively. Contribute to promoting inclusive design practices and accessible components. Work within agile squads to improve the user experience of the design system. Provide feedback to other designers Education & Experience To succeed in this role, you will need: Min 3 years of UI design experience with design systems and customer facing products (apps and websites) that have been released to market. Great understanding of design systems, interaction design principles and patterns, and web accessibility standards Understanding of agile delivery and software delivery lifecycle methodologies Excellent and effective communicator- able to communicate at all levels within the team (Engineering, Product, Design and Research) - engaging senior stakeholders effectively around the importance of Design A positive attitude A strong portfolio showing examples of workflow, demonstrating UI experience and relevant user-centred designs and solutions Its an advantage if you have: Experience with design systems (tokens, documentation) Experience working with developers Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values Skills and Abilities Proficient knowledge in Figma Personal skills: Excellent Communication, Collaboration, Time Management, Prioritisation and Problem Solving skills Technical skills: Design System, Prototyping, Wire-framing, Stakeholder Management Demonstrates alignment to our Vhi values and behaviours Note: This role profile does not set out to capture every task to be carried out by the role holder but instead provide an overview of the main responsibilities of the job.
