Development Project Manager Real Estate Location: Dublin We are exclusively retained by a leading international Real Estate Investment and Development company to find an experienced Development/Project Manager to support the delivery of their ambitious Irish real estate business plan. This firm boasts a diverse, impressive portfolio across multiple real estate asset sectors globally. They manage the entire development lifecycle in-house, from inception through design management, procurement, and construction, working with small, agile teams. Role Overview: Reporting to the Director of Real Estate Investment, the successful candidate will take the lead in managing development projects from post-acquisition through to project completion. This role involves working across a portfolio of developments rather than being tied to a single project. You'll lead some projects and support other Development Managers on additional schemes, particularly during the planning and pre-construction phases. Given the high-profile nature of these developments, the role requires a candidate with strong character, ambition, a robust work ethic, and integrity. Key Responsibilities: As the Project Lead, you will be responsible for: Project Leadership: Ensuring timely communication with management on project progress and budget performance. Keeping all stakeholders aware of their obligations throughout the development process. Team and Consultant Management: Selecting and appointing sub-consultants, planning teams, design teams, and construction contractors. Design Coordination: Overseeing and managing design team activities during the planning, design, and construction phases. Stakeholder Management: Managing interfaces with planners, utility providers, and statutory bodies. Contract Administration: Administering contracts on behalf of the client and ensuring construction teams meet contractual, quality, cost, and program requirements. Construction Oversight: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction, adhering strictly to contract terms, with a particular focus on quality control. Required Experience: To be considered for this role, you will need: Experience: At least 5 years of post-graduation experience in delivering large-scale construction projects in a technical role. Qualifications: A degree in a relevant field, with chartered status or progression towards chartership being an advantage. Technical Skills: Expertise in technical report writing, with proven ability to plan and coordinate activities on multi-million-euro projects. Leadership: Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams, with strong leadership and people management skills. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and perform under pressure. Technical Proficiency: Strong IT skills, ideally with knowledge of BIM and project planning software.
