DevOps Engineer sought to transform business requirements into efficient solutions, perform systems administration, and enhance existing systems.
Cpl recruitment is partnering with a dynamic organization to hire a skilled DevOps Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert business requirements into documented solutions.
- Perform systems administration tasks: monitoring, configuration, backups, authentication, tuning.
- Identify and resolve issues with tools and processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Enhance and troubleshoot existing systems and tools.
- Apply technical expertise during incident management.
Specific Duties
- Develop and enhance automation for smooth deployments and rollbacks.
- Maintain development tools and assist with enterprise-wide migration.
- Coordinate changes across environments.
- Manage hardware, storage, and networks.
- Improve processes and tools for rapid development and deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
- ~5 years in a DevOps/SRE role.
- Strong understanding of DevOps/SRE practices and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, AWS.
Technical Skills
- Proficient with source control (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub) and version control.
- Experience with CI tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Familiar with dependency management (Nexus, Maven, Gradle, PyPI).
- Skilled in building automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration.
- Proficient in Linux OS and shell scripting.
- Experience with Python dependency and build management.
- Familiar with Agile processes.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef).
- Experience with Atlassian suite (Confluence, JIRA).
- Familiarity with software change controls in the financial industry.
- Experience with trading systems and middleware.
- Exposure to managed Kubernetes solutions (GKE/Anthos, OpenShift).
- ION platform experience.
