PTSB has embarked on a significant programme of Payments Transformation aimed at forming the banks long-term vision and strategy to offer best-in-class payments services to our customers and foresees an increase in consumer demand in this area. PTSB considers payments to be a critical core competency to enable the bank to deliver sustainable revenue growth over the next 3-10 years. The bank is looking to anchor and deepen its relationships with new and existing customers through value added customer propositions built on top of a modern payments infrastructure. Your role is to assist in the technical delivery of a Payments Engine which will be integrated with our existing core banking applications and provide services that will be consumed by our Digital Channels. This role offers an excellent opportunity to play a key role in fulfilling and executing on the banks Payments Strategy. Responsibilities: Support and implement processes for a new Payments Engine as an enduring Tier 1 application within Banking Platforms Managing and automating deployments of workloads on OpenShift including MQ and FIS. Building deployment pipelines and running deployment scripts. Monitoring applications, looking at logs, and understanding reliability. Working with existing team members to gain an understanding of the current deployment and monitoring processes. Having experience with Kubernetes (k8s), Helm (package manager for k8s), and broad concepts of IBM MQ. Requirements: 5+ years experience in a similar role Strong skills in DevOps tooling, scripting, and cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes Strong people skills to collaborate with existing team members and share knowledge across the team. You will come from a software development/engineering background possessing a strong understanding of development. You will have experience in implementation and support of CI/CD processes and associated technologies which that underpin CICD pipelines enabling release management. You will have a proven experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement through automation and process. A strong appreciation of team with the ability to work with colleagues across teams of different ability, culture and priority to deliver results as one Good problem-solving abilities with the ability to direct solution determination and implementation of effective and permanent solutions fix it for the future mindset Experience of cyber security management and its delivery within the context of CI/CD and automation services; patch management, certificate management. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively. This is a Permanent role based in PTSB Cork. (Hybrid options available within the Republic of Ireland) Is this you?
