The Role


The Life Science Communications Digital Content Specialist for United Kingdom and Ireland is an individual contributor role and will report into Life Science Internal Communication.

Remote Work is possible in this role.

Main responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Digital Content
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and programmes especially sharepoint, video editing, project management tools, wesbite design and data analysis.
  • Updating and managing content on the company's digital channels
  • Prepare digital content aimed at various audiences
  • Ability to analyse the exisiting digital communication channels and how they are percived, devising a strategy to improve and update our digital channels.
  • Internal Communications
  • Help execute an employee communications strategic plan for Life Science in partnership with LS Internal Communications;
  • Liaise with the Life Science Communications and with Group Communications to communicate on a regular basis and showcase LS best practices across all markets in the region. Maintain relationships and ensure alignment, in particular, with Communications teams in other key countries/markets;
  • Support Group (global) / Corporate (Life Science) level communications campaigns in the region in cooperation with Life Science Communications;
  • Generate news content for internal audiences to drive employee understanding of the business, strategy and engagement;
  • Oversight and point of contact for local programs/events that are important for communications to employees i.e. town hall, coffee hours, leadership visits, lunch and learns;
  • Establish a regular cadence/network with all in-country communicators (and Marcom leads where needed) to ensure strategic alignment.
Who You Are


Education:

  • University graduate or above, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, Literature, Business Administration or scientific profile with strong communication skills

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years progressive experience in communication functions with multinational companies;
  • Experience in working with Senior Executives;
  • Experience in Life Science or Pharma businesses is a plus.

Job Specific skills:

  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Excellent oral and written English (fluent speaker is an absolute must);
  • German not mandatory but considered a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to properly interact with people in different levels/positions;
  • Proactive, creative, results and teamwork orientated;
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure;
  • Multicultural experience.

  • Rounded senior communicator with exceptional business partnering and stakeholder management abilities, at ease advising and delivering in role;
  • A strong personal track record of building and managing excellent media relations, delivering on-message coverage in top tier global titles;
  • Highly skilled in managing complex issues (external and internal), identifying areas of control, mobilizing the internal response and resolving effectively;
  • Exquisite personal judgement, behavioral flexibility and experience of working internationally across multiple and varied cultures;
  • Ability to operate in a matrix.
