Join us as a Digital Data Scientist This opportunity will suit an experienced data scientist with a strong academic background, adept at stakeholder management and an appetite for working with many disparate sources and types of data. You will join as a key member of the team with the opportunity to grow and develop your skills within a fast paced, exciting, data-rich environment. Within the Analytics & Innovation team, we are passionate about driving insight and value from data. The team work across a spectrum of exploratory analysis, feature engineering, data engineering, event prediction, data driven segmentation, deep dive analyses and development of bespoke solutions to meet business needs. We value innovation and creativity and this role presents a great opportunity for any analyst who has the capability to collaborate and identify business needs, approach a business problem in an innovative way, identify and build a great solution, and the ability to communicate the outputs of that work across the business. What it involves: Create and work with large digital datasets to extract value and insights Use statistical and data science techniques to explore data and identify patterns and trends Process, join and analyse data sources to create features which feed into analytical and machine learning pipelines Build predictive models and data science solutions Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights Conduct deep dive analyses and make recommendations to help with business decision-making Create dashboards to visualise insights for stakeholders Research and implement new techniques in data science/web analytics to make analytical solutions more impactful The skills we're looking for: Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science Solid understanding of statistics, machine learning and data science principles Experience in processing, analysing and extracting value from large datasets containing both structured and unstructured data Proven experience in Python and SQL Experience working with web analytics data (Adobe/Google Analytics) is desirable Familiarity with reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Cognos) Excellent communication and stakeholder & project management skills Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Attention to detail and collaborative mindset Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science Digital (Google or Adobe) experience desirable but not essential.
